An early 20th century opal 18ct gold ring, the central oval opal cabochon measuring 7.5mm x 5mm, bezel set to pierced scrolling shoulders, continuing to a tapering plain polished shank, marks for Henry Williamson Ltd, Birmingham 1917, ring size O, weight 2.5gms

The central opal shows heavy scratching, and has a couple of small chips to the surface, visible under 10x magnification. Bezel in good order, no splitting, major thinning or repair, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use only. Shoulders in good order - some minor splitting to the underside of head, between the shoulders and the bezel (see picture), however there are other major damage or signs of repair, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and wear only. Shank in fair order, some thinning, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and wear, however no signs of splitting, thinning or repair.
