BWM & Victory Medal (216 Sjt F Brabrook Rif Brig) entitled to the Silver War Badge. Born Wetherden, Suffolk. With copy service papers/photos. With WW2 group MBE (Mily), 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star + F & G Clasp, Africa Star + North Africa 1942-42 clasp, Pacific Star, Defence & War Medals, and 1944 French Commemorative Medal. MBE L/G 7 June 1946 Mr William Frederick Brabrook, Commissioned Ordnance Office RN, for distinguished service in the Far East during WW2. Served HMS Belfast 1944-46. A photo of him appears in the book 'HMS Belfast, Men of the Sea' page 111. The WW2 medals have been privately named (W F Brabrook. Ord.Lieut RN). Lot comes with a superb personal archive compiled by W F Brabrook mapping WW2 naval history, his service, etc including original photos/paperwork, postcards, copy photos, etc. Four volumes relate to the Hoods service pre WW2 on which he appears to have served, other volumes relate to his WW2 service and relate his experiences, people he met etc, most with annotations. Also served Repulse, Patroclus and M.N.B.D.O.. Last album relates to HMS Tyne 1950-51. Super lot with much research potential. (Qty)
