A FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR GROUP OF SIX TO THE ROYAL NAVY RESERVE. A group of six comprising 1914-15 Star named to J.28516 T. Pipe Boy 1. R.N. War Medal and Victory Medal to Pipe as Able Seaman, Second World War Defence and War Medals, unnamed as issued and a Cadet Force Medal named to Ty Lieut (SP)T. Pipe R.N.V.R. Mounted as worn. Thomas Pipe was born on the 26th July 1898 at Woodbridge in Suffolk, he joined the Royal Navy at Chatham on the 11th November 1913 at the age of 15. He served aboard H.M.S. Inflexible at the Battle of Jutland. He resumed his Naval career during the Second World War as a Temporary Lieutenant (Special Branch) in the Volunteer Reserve. Mounted for display with copied research.
