EPHEMERA, a superbly presented Social and Postal History archive consisting of letters and a small number of envelopes dating from 1800 to 1829, much of the correspondence is of a commercial, legal and personal nature, the correspondents include minor Aristocracy and lesser known M.P's, including a letter relating to the elopement of Lady Elizabeth howard (Wife of the Duke of Norfolk) with Henry Bingham, Lord Lucan !, there are a number of elaborate seals, paid stamps, date stamps as well as 2 x 1d Reds, one with a 159 cancel and the other with a double J, there are approximately two hundred and fifteen pieces of correspondence in this collection
