A Frankenthal porcelain group of three carousing men, c.1770-75, modelled by Karl Gottlieb Lück, one man seated on a table holding a pipe, the second seated on a barrel singing while holding a beaker of drink and the third seated reading a letter, underglaze blue ‘CT’ (Carl Theodor) mark and ‘7’, 20cm high, 19cm wide, restored letter
Provenance - purchased from Winifred Williams, Eastbourne/London before 1970.

Typical minor firing and glaze imperfections. The letter in the hand of one of the figures has been restored and has been broken and re-glued, other typical minor losses to the encrusted leaves on the base, some grubby areas, otherwise in good condition.
