£160
A mid 19c English fusee dial wall clock, the movement having shouldered plates with knopped pillars and chain drive. The 25cm diam. flat iron dial has Roman numerals and moon hands and a cast brass bezel with convex glass. It is contained in an octagonal mahogany case with bottom and rear access doors. The case 31cm across.
The movement seems complete apart from missing its pendulum suspension spring and would run. The dial background is good but the numerals are rubbed and faded. The glass is undamaged but the bezel closing tab is missing and has been replaced by a catch. The case has some missing veneers to some of the front corners and to the top and a finishing strip to the rear case edge is missing to a couple of the case edges.
