A GROUP OF MAINLY NINETEENTH CENTURY HAND PAINTED WARE, comprising a four piece dessert set dating from the first half of the nineteenth century: a twin handled oval comport, height 12cm x width 33.5cm including handles, a square twin handled dessert plate, and two 21cm plates, each painted with a central cartouche of flowers within a landscape, inside a cobalt blue border decorated with gilt motifs, the square plate bears red painted number 1026, otherwise pieces are unmarked, together with a Dillwyn Swansea gaudy Welsh plate, diameter 23cm, a florally painted plate, possibly painted on an eighteenth century Derby blank, with unusual Derby 'stool' mark verso, and another titled 'The Knife Grinder' painted with a puce knife grinder figure (7) (Condition Report: pieces appear in good overall condition, some crazing, scratches, gilding loss and wear commensurate with age, Dillwyn plate has a little restoration to the rim)
