AUSTIN WINTERBOTTOM (1860-1919) TWO WINTER LANDSCAPES, the first depicts a stream running through a wooded landscape with a cottage at the top of the bank, signed bottom right, oil on canvas, approximate size 59cm x 48cm, the second depicts an extensive landscape with a stream running through, signed bottom left, oil on canvas, approximate size 58cm x 48cm, Condition Report: the first painting has craquelure with areas where the paint is lifting from the canvas, several dull areas which is possibly due to over painting, the second painting has craquelure, three small spots of paint loss, dull areas which is possibly due to over painting and the canvas is rippled to the top left corner (a note verso indicates that the paintings were in possession of the artists family until 1970)
