A Sèvres wine bottle cooler (seau à bouteille), painted by Fumez, in polychrome with ribbon-tied floral sprays outlined by cobalt blue bands in gilt with leafy stems, above a field of scattered sprigs, 17.5cm high, FR and script in blue, painter's mark fx, Revolutionary Period, c. 1793-1800
Generally good condition, one handle has a couple of minor firing cracks, usual light pitting, gilding good, interior would benefit from a gentle clean.
