1962 Fender Precision Bass guitar, made in USA, ser. no. 8xxx5; Body: Olympic white refinished body (over Olympic white or blond), heavy checking, blemishes and rubbing, buckle loss patch to back; Neck: maple, light wear and blemishes throughout; Fretboard: rosewood, light wear; Frets: refret, oxidisation and tarnishing; Electrics: working; Hardware: missing bridge cover, scratchplate and bridge plate screws replaced with incorrect flathead type; Case: contemporary hard case; Weight: 4.02kg; Overall condition: fair

*Purchased second hand by the vendor from Cookes Band Instruments Ltd. Norwich, in 1967. See lot 12, consigned by the same vendor, which was also purchased at the same instrument shop.  In terms of originality, the vendor has stated that he has had no work or changes carried out on the guitar since his ownership
