Georgian locket brooch pin containing a portrait miniature on ivory attributed to Andrew Plimer (Devon 1763-1837 London). The locket containing an oval miniature portrait watercolour on ivory, in gold frame. The portrait depicting a lady in a white lace dress with pearls in her hair. The reverse glazed to reveal hairwork plume set with gold thread and pearls. Remnants of brooch fitting C clasp and hinge pin to frame. Frame measures 7.8cm including bale. Portrait measures approx 62mm x 51mm. Surface tests to frame indicate gold.
