Interesting family archive material relating to members of the Baker family and Ruhleben Internment Camp including: an "Emergency Passport" named to Cecil Baker, aged 12 years, issued by the Embassy of the United States of America in Berlin, January 1915 that he may proceed to England; a Prussian passport for the same young man, January 1915, stating that his journey is permitted and it must take place on 6th January 1915 without stopping through Bentherm up to the frontier, both items bearing a signed passport photograph, the latter marked that his signature was "written independently"; a letter from his father Cecil B. Baker from the Englanderlager Ruhleben, dated Dec 6th 1917 referring to "my boy Cecil" and thanking him for letters and birthday greetings and stating "I am now 45 years of age so quite ripe for any change of prisoners that may take place"; a postcard from the camp from father to son showing "Old Father Time" with the sentiment "With Best Wishes for 1918 from Papa"; the father's "Fahrkarte" travel pass with his photo and two tickets dated December 1913 and June 1914; a waybill sending a consignment of antique books, addressed to Cecil Baker at "Englander Lager Barrake No 7 Ruhleben" and various other related ephemera and a few WWI Postcards. The Ruhleben internment camp was approx. 6 miles from Berlin and housed non military allied citizens in Germany at the start of WWI. £30-40
