with a caned back and seat, the "S"-scroll front legs joined by a pierced and carved stretcher and with turned and squared "H"-stretchers, 66cm wide across the arms x 140cm high; a pair of high-backed single chairs of similar design, 134.5cm high x 45.5cm wide across the seat; and another chair with a turned front stretcher (4)

Provenance: According to family records, the pair of chairs appear in a photograph of the Great Hall circa 1914 and another circa 1916.The single chair with incurved legs bears a label inscribed "Ven House".
