Philip Avenalll (II) of Farnham (Surrey); A George III oak-cased 8-day longcase clock, fitted with a brass broken arch Roman dial with "rocking Father Time" automaton to the arch and applied silvered chapter ring, with a silvered centre and a secondary dial at 12. o'clock and calendar aperture at 6 o'clock, the four pillar movement chiming the hours on a single bell, the movement seems to have an added complication of a contemporary (?) pull repeat mounted on the seat board. 48 cm overall width x 27 cm overall depth x 224 cm overall height, 30.5 cm dial size, Philip Avenall, the second is recorded as working in Farnham in Surrey and was admitted to the Worshipful Company Of Clockmakers in 1763, and died in 1807 A private estate Comes with two black iron weights and a pendulum. The case requires some repairs to make good but the movement seems intact
