A NAVAL GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL 1793-1840 WITH NAVARINO CLASP TO THE ROYAL MARINES. A Naval General Service Medal with Navarino clasp, named to Robt. Elliott. Robert Elliott, a Sergeant in the Royal Marines, H.M.S Dartmouth, Robert Elliott's clasp is confirmed to the roll. H.M.S. Dartmouth received 11 Navarino clasps to officers and 98 to men. A provenance for the medal of Christies April 1984 (£300) is suggested. Mounted for display with copied research.
