Railway. Paper Railwayana. Three NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY plans.
1. NER Ref 180. Masham station, colour wash pink/blue on parchment?, dated October 1876 "revised Sept. 1886", 33ft to 1 inch. The plan shows the entire station, depots (NER speak for coal drops), warehouse (goods shed), engine house (engine shed) and a ticket platform. Rolled, 41/2 ft x 2ft. The branch actually opened in June 1875; the engine shed house a single G5 0-4-4T until passenger service ended in 1931; it was demolished in 1941.
2. NER Ref 5. A simpler plan (does not show signal cabin for instance) to Ref 180. Masham station colour wash pink/blue on parchment? Undated with nothing labelled but assuredly 1875. 2ft x 3ft rolled.
3. NER Ref 6. Masham station colour wash pink/blue on parchment? The plan shows variations in track layout, alternative sites of turntable etc. Includes some foundational detail, fencing and walls, cross sections of platforms and "depots".
