VACHERON GIROD - A cylinder escapement silver cased key wind slim pocket watch. Circa 1805, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, outer minute track and subsidiary dial, unsigned movement, the cuvette inscribed 'No 32. - CYLINDER ESCAPEMENT - VACHERON GIROD - GENEVA - FOUR HOLES JEWELLED', within a foliate engraved case, 49mm. With a letter of provenance from Vacheron & Constantin, dated 1963, stating that their files show that the watch was maunfactured by them in 1805. Currently running. Hairline crack to the dial.
