A 19th century or earlier Persian cairoware brass and silver overlay incense burner and cover, the cylindrical dish with Islamic script, supported on three open foliate and slender pad foot legs, the reticulated onion dome chased and embossed with alternating cartouches of knotted flowering tendrils and Arabic symbols, all on a heavily tooled ground, surmounted by a crescent, 23cm high
