Follower of William Powell Frith (19th century) - 'The Fortune Teller', an interior scene with two young girls beside a fireplace, an old lady reading cards seated nearby, oil on paper, possibly over a print base, 5.25" x 6.5"
This is probably a painted-over print, it is very detailed in places, there appears to be no significant damage, however the hands of the old lady fortune teller do have a scratch and some missing paint, there is dirt and discoloured varnish to the surface and it is contained within a rather decorative ornately patterned gilt Victorian frame.
