A JAPANESE CONTEMPORARY SMALL PORCELAIN ARITA FLOWER VASE, TOKUDA YASOKICHI III. Japanese contemporary (late 20thC) Arita porcelain blue/green flower vase by Tokuda Yasokichi III (1933-2009). Signed on the base. 21.7cm high x 7cm diameter.
Tokuda Yasokichi III was one of Japan’s most famous Kutani potters with a wealth of honours to his name. Born in Ishikawa prefecture, he was designated a Living National Treasure in 1997 for his mastery of the saiyu glaze technique.
