The squarer-styled Mark II version of the Escort appeared in January 1975, the first production models had rolled off the production lines on 2 December 1974.

Unlike the first Escort (which was developed by Ford of Britain), the second generation was developed jointly between the UK and Ford of Germany. Codenamed "Brenda" during its development, it used the same mechanical components as the Mark I.

The vendor describes this 1976 Ford Escort 2 Door as a 100% rust free, neat and tidy club race car for hill climbs, sprints or tarmac rally. It has a 2 ltr tuned Pinto motor with twin Dellorto Carburetors and MSD Ignition, full roll cage, Dyna Mat lined floor, Sparco race seats and harnesses. Rally Computer, foam filled tank, Quaife LSD with 5.2 gears, 5 x 15" Minilite style wheels with Federal tyres, adjustable front end and tramp rods on the rear. Short shift box , and quick rack.
