Relating to the life of Rafaelle sitter in the portraits of lot 277 and 278.
Provenance: The Duchess lived in a flat in Grosvenor square, Mayfair, London. She was very good friends with the aunt and uncle of the niece, from whom the vendor purchased the paintings. The aunt and uncle purchased the property in Grosvenor square, along with the contents. Thence by descent to the niece, then purchased by the current owner.
