Victoria (1837-1901), Half Farthing and Quarter Farthing (2), 1839, young head left, reverse crowned value, (S.3951; BMC 1590 and S.3953 and BMC 1608). The fi rst almost uncirculated with pleasing red lustre, small toning spot on reverse. The second almost uncirculated with nearly full red lustre (2).

Issued for Colonial use in Ceylon and as such these examples are particularly nice as these coins were heavily circulated.
