A Chinese polished bronze censer on stand, Qing Dynasty. Of compressed bombe form with two handles, the base with apocryphal Xuande seal mark, on the original bronze tripod stand, censer height 8cm, width 20cm, weight approx 2700 grams, stand height 4cm, diameter 16cm, weight approx 1450 grams. (2) Provenance: The Michael J. Hickman Collection. Bought in Cornwall from the early 1970's to early 1980's. The staining by the handle may possibly be an old repair. The weight and size of both pieces are on the listing.
