A GEORGE II IRISH SILVER BREAD BASKET
by John Hamilton, Dublin, c.1730, oval with fixed crested handle, the shaped rim flat-chased with C-scrolls and flowers, the sides pierced, the base engraved with an armorial, raised on a pierced foot. 20cm high overall, 30.5cm long, 26cm wide, 29.5 troy ounces
Lacks a date letter. The three hallmarks are rubbed but legible. The pierced work is in good condition. The basket stands well and does not wobble. In generally good condition commensurate with age.
