The BMW E39 is the fourth generation of the BMW 5 Series, which was sold from 1995 to 2004. It was launched in the saloon body style, with the estate body style, marketed as "Touring" introduced in 1996. The E39 was the first 5 Series to use aluminium components in the front suspension. The proportion of chassis components using aluminium significantly increased for the E39, in order to reduce weight. It was also the first 5 Series where a four-cylinder diesel engine was available. V8 models use recirculating ball steering, however rack and pinion steering was used for the first time in the four-cylinder and six-cylinder models.
Supplied new in March 2003 by Chandlers BMW of Angmering in West Sussex, this E39 525i SE Automatic is finished in Orient Blue with a an attractive Full Leather Tan interior. The sale of the car includes the private registration number M5 ADB. The car has covered just 58,720 miles with one private registered owner from new. The owner had the main agent collect the car annually for MOT, Servicing and Maintenance, therefore all has been done at the supplying dealership.
The overall condition is superb throughout with only a few very minor age related imperfections, as you would fairly expect of such a genuine very low mileage 14 year old BMW that drives superbly. The Service History is documented in the service booklet and stamped by Chandlers BMW, with the original full owners document pack, Navigation Disc and remote key all present.
