A pair of Carl Thieme painted and encrusted porcelain vases, Potschappel (Dresden), circa 1890, the ovoid bodies hand painted with central classical scenes of Venus and cupid after Angelika Kauffman (1741-1807), framed with an encrusted festoon of fruit and flowers joined at the twin handles, above a square base, with square platforms similarly decorated and marked to the underside with underglaze blue X and T, total height with plinth 32.5 cm high
