HONG KONG 1863 -1977 IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION in album includes 1863-71 Wmk CC mint / unused 2c, 4c, 6c (2, incl wmk inverted SG 10w), 8c, 24c green, 30c orange-vermilion and 48c rose-carmine SG 8-17a, a comprehensive used range includes the 4c slate perf 12½, 8c wmk reversed, 18c lilac, 96c olive-bistre SG 18 (a nice example of this difficult stamp), 1876 16c on 18c SG 20 apparently unused, 1880 5c on 8c brt orange, 10c on 24c green both unused, 1891 surcharged on colour changed set opt'd 'SPECIMEN' SG 45as/47s mint, 1891 2c Jubilee mint, also a used example with broken '1' in '1891', 1898 $1 on 96c (both shades) SG 52+52a both mint, 1900-01 set mint, also 2c dull green mint block 12 with interpane gutter, a collection of QV stamps selected for postmarks incl Treaty Ports, Singapore, Macao, company chops etc, later highlights include 1904-06 $1 and $3 mint, $2 and $3 used, 1907-11 set to 50c mint, 1912-21 $10 used, much else incl further Treaty Port cancels incl boxed Port St Edward, also Penang, Shanghai, French ships, etc, later still with 1949 Royal Silver Wedding sets both mint & used, etc. Condition mixed incl very fine (many 100's) Lot 739 (A) [a]
