AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK WITH MOONPHASE the oak case of slender proportions enclosing a 12" arched brass dial with gilt crown and cherub spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with subsidiary seconds, the arch with two-handed calendar and moon age dials enclosing a penny moonphase aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with five finned knopped pillars, complicated snail and worm gear work linking the moon and calendar work, striking the hours on a large bell (211cm high )
