A Linthorpe glazed earthenware plate, 19th century, pierced border with flowers, makers mark to base, incised '1896' 'JP', 21cm diameter
The piece shows fine surface crazing throughout and rings flat when pinged as a consequence. The well shows some quite heavy surface scratching , particularly noticeable in the 'rainbow' area of the glaze.
