1st Bn Coldstream Guards Campaign Medals of Lieut.-Colonel Sir Charles Arthur Andrew Frederick GCVO KCB Sir Charles served with the 1st Bn during the Egypt campain and was later appointed Master of the King's Household and an Extra Equerry to King Edward VII and to Queen Alexandra.
Comprising: 1902 Coronation Medal, 1911 Coronation Medal, Egypt Medal, clasp Suakin 1885 LIEUT C.A.A.FREDERICK 1/ COLDm GDS, Order of Medjidie (small chip to crescent enamel), Khedive Star 1884-6. The group remains mounted as originally worn, with tailors details of Hunt and Roskell Ltd to the reverse. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Charles Arthur Andrew Frederick GCVO KCB alongside his military duties was attached to the Royal Household holding the post of Master of the King's Household and an Extra Equerry to King Edward VII and to Queen Alexandra and later to King George V. He died in 1913. His funeral was held on Christmas Eve and by permission of the King in the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace and was conducted by the Canon of Windsor
