An ancient Egyptian bronze and carved wood figure of Thoth depicted as an ibis in hieroglyphic form, probably circa 7th century BC. The carved and gilt wood body with black painted detail to the tail mounted with cast bronze head and legs. Supported on a later manufactured bespoke wooden base. Dimensions including stand: 22 cm length, 20.8 cm height.
Condition report: The head and legs with verdigris and the gilt body showing signed of surface wear as illustrated. Some age related wear to the base
