An early 18th century Chinese blue and white baluster vase, Kangxi period (1662-1722) Qing dynasty, the high shouldered body painted in rich tones of underglaze blue with a continuous landscape, figures and traditional dwellings between double rows of overlapping lappets filled with floral sprays, prunus on cracked ice banding around the short cylindrical neck and spreading foot, the base showing a neatly trimmed foot-rim with artemisia leaf (partially obscured by paper collection label) within a double circle, also in underglaze blue, 25.5 cm high
Some firing imperfections, pin-holing and other irregularities within the glaze but not cracked or restored, some small old chips on inside or the rim, surface wear commensurate with age
