GREAT BRITAIN - QUEEN VICTORIA - 1882 Money Order for 14s 9d issued by The Money Order Bank Limited, bearing 10s, 2s (2), 6d & 1d (3) square adhesive stamps used to make up the value and albino 1d embossed GB cheque stamp at upper right, stamps cancelled by Money Order Bank handstamps dated May 30th 82 and Royal Bank of Scotland Company oval handstamp in black. A tremendously rare document from this short lived bank, which was established in March 1881 to compete against the Post Office's newly introduced Postal Orders. The bank was wound up less than two years later on 25th January 1883 leaving very few surviving orders. Superb!
