A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 9680, GORTON 1928, from a LNER N7 Class 0-6-2T No 2640 which entered traffic at Gorton in February 1928. It was renumbered 9680 in 1928, becoming BR 69680. Its only other sheds were Hatfield and Stratford where it spent most of its working life. Withdrawn from Stratford in December 1960, it was cut up at the nearby Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
