A 19th century redware Portland vase, probably Wedgwood or Samuel Alcock, circa 1850, transfer printed and over painted with and band of dog roses, turquoise handles and rims, 25.5cm high Note: similar to Wedgwood vases decorated by students at the South Kensington School of Art (RCA) as trials for their design studies, this example could also have been decorated at the school.
