A GEORGE III LARGE SILVER SALT

by John Emes, London 1802, oval, in the form of a two-handled bucket, with reeded rim, raised on a collet foot, gilded to interior, engraved with an initial. 8.8cm across handles, 2.6 troy ounces



Maker's mark partially rubbed, all legible. Stands upright, no rocking to base. Gilding slightly worn. Light surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use.
