A Chinese pale jade toad, 19th century, the celadon coloured carving modelled grasping a fruiting vine, 4cm long
There appears to be a small breakage to the vine beneath the head (see pictures). There is a natural internal fracture, which has partially extended to the surface, leaving a ridge in the back of the frog (see pictures). No other notable fractures, losses or repair. Piece shows general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. See additional image.
