A smokebox numberplate, 67626, from a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T No 2926 built at Doncaster, Works No 1771, in December 1931, renumbered 7626 in 1946, becoming BR 67626. Along with most of the class it was re-boilered and re-classified as V3 Class in May 1953. A long time Parkhead engine, it was withdrawn from there in December 1962, following the introduction of the Glasgow electric Blue Trains, and cut up at Darlington Works. The front repainted, a BR weld by the '7', not visible from the front. (Postage Band: D)
