A FINE 19TH CENTURY CLAY INDIAN FIGURE OF A FISHERMAN.
Made in Krishnanagar, West Bengal. Sculpted with clay from the sacred Ganges river, modelled on metal armature, hand-painted, mounted upon a wooden base. Highly detailed and with real human hair. The garment, fishing net and ropes were woven to fit the scale of the model.
