*Pablo Picasso [Spanish, 1881-1973] Portrait of Jacqueline (1956) bearing a possibly later signature and spurious edition number 17/75 to the lower margin, dated 4.12.56 in the plate lithograph in colours on wove paper sight size 52 x 40cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Devon Formerly the collection of the art collector Sibyl Horsfall (1917-2016) The present portrait represents Picasso's muse Jacqueline Roque. An edition of this lithograph is in the collection of the MoMa, New York, another was recently sold at Sotheby's New York, 16 December 2022, lot 547.
