A worksplate, NEILSON & Co, 4545, 1893, from a London & South Western Railway A12 Jubilee Class 0-4-2 No 646 built in April 1893, retaining this number in SR days. Withdrawn in May 1939, it was converted for stationary duty and despatched to Salisbury to supply steam for the new Merchant Navy class when standing on shed between trains and later for other shed purposes until the end of 1944. Cast brass, 9¾"x5¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
