German Third Reich Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword by SMF, Solingen.
A fine example with twist wire bound blue leather grip, silvered mounts with gilt mobile swastika to centre of pommel and downswept winged crossguard. Double edged polished blade with central fuller and bearing SMF seated king logo. Housed in its blue leather covered scabbard with two loose suspension rings and retaining leather hanger together with pebbled spring clip (D.R.G.M) and leather belt attachment. Minor wear. VGC Complete in blue felt outer sword bag, pinked drawstring topped, leather tipped, with old attached Pickfords Ltd. Depositories bearing name HAMILTON dated 27-10-50.
