Circle of Sir Joshua Reynolds (British, 1723-1792) The Strawberry Girl oil on canvas 59.5 x 49.5cm. Reynolds' depiction of a young strawberry seller, wearing a turban and carrying her wares in a conical basket, achieved its iconic status soon after its creation, and was often copied during Reynolds' lifetime, including by his studio, pupils and followers. One such version appeared at Christie's London, 19 Dec 2006, lot 182.
