Dame Lucie Rie - A stoneware planter circa 1970 of tapered form, the body decorated to the upper exterior with a band if fine incised lines with white glazed rim over the stoneware body, impressed artists monogram and production water drainage hole to the base, height 13cm.
Provenance - Private collection - purchased Sothebys London 7th May 1996 - 20th Century Studio Ceramics
There is a small and tight hairline to the upper rim just visible within the white glazed section. There are some residual marks from use as a planter to the interior.
