1585 (Nov 10) Entire letter from Jean Chauvyn in Dieppe, written and addressed in French, to Bartholomeo Corsini in London, endorsed "Le Port". The letter includes "I have received your letter and see by it your box No. 2 had arrived at Rye..... This is a copy of another letter written to you by way of the messenger Paintre". A fine Corsini letter sent via Rye. Photo on Page 72.
