A FINE AND SMALL ETCHED STEEL TABLE CASKET, NUREMBERG/AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1600. Of rectangular form, the hinged lid, front and rear panels designed with two reserves, each filled with a large leafy S-scroll within strapwork and ribbed borders, the sides and underside with single reserve conforming decoration, with bale handle, elliptical keyhole cover and original key, the underside of the lid with an ornate two-bolt mechanism, on ball feet, height 8cm, width 13.2cm, depth 8.2cm
