A Victorian silver egg form sewing companion, with hinged cover, ring top mount and short silver chain, the interior fitted with a later silver thimble on two bobbins containing needles, within a gilt border of pins, marks to interior of lid, Thomas Johnson I, London 1878, the rim also engraved for 'Leuchars Piccadilly', bobbind unmarked, thimble Samuel Foskett, London 1892, 2.3cm high, chain 15cm long, case 3.3 by 4.9cm, 2.22toz.
