*Ex-lot 363, Gardiner Houlgate, 14th September 2017. Originally sold by Keith Smart, Chairman of the Zemaitis Owners Club. A luthier who was working on the Hendrix Zemaitis acoustic sent some wood shavings from the guitar to Keith Smart, as he knew he had a penchant for memorabilia, particularly in this field. Keith donated some of the shavings to The Boat Project which were placed in a capsule to the tiller. The story was featured in newspapers and on various television reports
