A fabulous 1977 Franklin Mint 'World's Racing Cars' First Edition Proof Silver. It comes in a beautiful mahogany case. There are 75 pieces, displayed beautifully in three pull out wooden trays, lined in red, really setting off the silver. Total of 71.25 ounces of Sterling Silver. (2090 grammes). Ingots are 2.1 x 1.1. weighing 0.95 oz. each. Includes original mint padded album and all 75 2-sided cards, each with the description of each racing car behind the actual car. All in mint condition. Includes the dated Nov. 1. 1977, Certificate of Authenticity in it's original folder in the back of the album. The collection of sterling silver ingots, minted by the Franklin Mint, showing clearly that it is a hallmarked first edition proof set authorized in a limited edition by Federation Internationale de Automobile, in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of Closed Circuit Racing. It is signed by Prince Metternich, FIA President. (2)
